I thought your commentary was fine really. One thing you do a good job of is talking about the game itself - the mechanics, the repercussions of it being a PS1 platformer, etc. Something you could talk about more is how you feel when you play it or your opinion on the design choices. For instance, they give you a choice of stages but one is an immediate dead-end unless you do the other first; is that just punishing players who make the wrong choice, or is the freedom to choose worth having to go through a level multiple times? Or you talked about the boss fight being subpar, what could have been done differently? Etc.
Well if I remember correctly, you can go to the dead-end level and do something there; you just can't complete the level itself.
